High-alloyed steel eyebolt. Eye bolts may only be tightened by hand—safe workload, under a maximum angle of 60° as shown. The lifting eye must not be loaded sideways.

The following guidelines for DIN 580 lifting eye bolts must be observed in addition to the maximum load values given in the table: The eye bolt must be fully screwed in, achieving firm contact between the two mating faces. The counter thread must be of equal length, and the base material must be of equal strength to the bolts.

DIN580 Eye bolts are generally used as a removable lifting point where a rated female thread or nut can be utilized. They can also terminate chains, wire rope, and other assemblies where required.

• Made from C15 carbon steel with zinc plated finish, manufactured with a standard more giant eye. It is only available in metric thread sizes.
• Conforms to DIN580 and DIN582 marked with working load limit in tonne, nominal size in millimeters, quality grade, batch numbered, and supplier identification.
